Obituary

Albert Courtois, 53, died Oct. 26, 2011, at his home in Lilbourn. Born July 28, 1958, in Cadet, to the late Carl and Ruby Hedrick Courtois, he was a member of the New Madrid Eagles Club. On April 7, 1997, in New Madrid, he married Brenda Cobb who survives of the home. Other survivors include: four daughters and a son-in-law, Brittney and Josh Mills and Mallory Courtois of Sikeston, Amber Crawford of East Prairie and Christina Courtois of Henderson, Ky.; one stepdaughter, Natosha Boles of DeSoto; one stepson, David Cobb of East Prairie; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Norma Jacobs and Vivian and Sonny Halbert of Potosi, Roseann and Bob Schuler of Fenton and Karen and Danny Goodson of New Madrid; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy Dale and Donna Courtois and Terry and Nita Courtois of Lilbourn and Ernie and Melinda Courtois of Potosi; and three grandsons, 11 nephews and nine nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Stella Courtois and Albert and Bertha Hedrick, one sister, Stella Courtois, and one brother, LeRoy Courtois. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today at the Lilbourn General Baptist Church where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Travis Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Courtois, Al Mitchem, Jimmy Kimball, Billy Rodman, Terry Courtois, D.J. Courtois, Ernie Courtois, Jordan Courtois, Lance Chamberlain, Ricky Blankenship, Ronnie Chamberlain and Tim Thompson. The Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
