Beatrice Smith NEW MADRID — Beatrice Smith, 67, died April 24, 2012, at the Golden Living Center. Born May 20, 1944, in New Madrid, to the late Richard and Georgia Ross, she was a member of BB Memorial CME Church. She was married to George Thomas Smith Sr. Survivors include: four sons and two daughters, Joe (Rose) Ross, George Thomas Smith Jr., Sheila Faye (Jamie) Criglar, all of New Madrid, Andrea (Althea) Smith of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Corendada Blissett of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, George "Harry" Rosss; and 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, six brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Larry White, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in New Madrid.
