Bernice Lynette Bledsoe Mainord, 88, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at the New Madrid Living Center. Born July 12, 1935, in New Madrid County to the late Warren Lee "Elmo" and Geraldine Bledsoe. She was a retired farmer's wife and homemaker. She later engaged in sales at a shoe store. She was married to the love of her life, Jimmy "Poss" Mainord, for over 50 years before he passed away. She was a very dedicated member of the Lilburn VFW Post 7183 auxiliary serving as treasurer for many years. She was a lifelong member of Crowe Methodist Church in Matthews, Missouri. Her greatest joys in life were being a mother and grandmother.

Proceeding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son, Gary Mainord, one granddaughter Leah Mainord, one brother, and her beloved sister Linda Kay Rose.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Duke (wife Shelly), Mainord of New Madrid, one daughter, Kim Mainord of Bernie, Missouri seven grandchildren, Chrisi Hodges, Katy Hart Heath Mainord, Jeremy Eubank, Jenny Massey, Hailey Brewer, Josie Mainord, 12 great-grandchildren two great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law and best friend, Sarah Thompson of Matthews, Missouri.

Pallbearers are: Doug Thompson, Craig Mainord, Joe Sparks, Carl "Bubba" Morgan, Kenny Joe Schaffer, and Dewey Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Eubank and Heath Mainord.
