Billy Joe Jones, 79, died July 7, 2016, at his home. He was born June 30, 1937, in Parkdale, Ark., son of the late Roscoe and Beatrice Woods Jones. He married Shirley Malone, and she survives of the home. Other survivors include: three sons, Chris Jones of Kewanee and Brad Jones and Bryan Jones of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Carol Long of Perryville, Ark.; four brothers, James Jones of Sikeston, Johnny Jones  and Eddie Wayne Jones of Kewanee and Dewey Jones of LaForge; three sisters Maebell Woodard of Polo, Bonnie Lawson of St. Louis and Barbara Whitehead of Granite City, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Steve Joe Jones, and one brother. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. The Rev. Dave Million will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
