Bonnie McCain Boyd Bonnie Boyd passed away February 5, 2012, in Memphis, Tennessee.  She was born July 12, 1917, in Cullman County, Alabama, to Abraham and Ola (Upton) McCain.  She moved to New Madrid when a teenager with her parents and lived there most of her adult life.  She is survived by her children Margaret Riley of Memphis, Tennessee, and John (Susan) Ellis of Tecumseh, Michigan, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, one brother, John Lewis, of Arlington, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.  Bonnie was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She worked at several businesses in New Madrid and will be fondly remembered by many. Visitation will be at 11:00AM at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with grave side services at 1:00PM on February 11, 2012.   Internment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The family request that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to New Madrid Public Library, or First Methodist Church of New Madrid.
