Danny L. Sweatt, 64, died Jan. 5, 2016, at his home in New Madrid. Born Oct. 31, 1951, in Point Pleasant, son of the late Freddie Lee and Mary M. Dial Sweatt. On January 13th, 1973 in Point Pleasant he was married to Rosalie Grubbs. He was employed at Noranda Aluminum for many years. Survivors include: one son, Danny Rowdy Sweatt of New Madrid; one daughter, Kristina Sweatt of New Madrid; three sisters, Shelley Mathis, Susan Barnett and Sheila Sweatt; two brothers, Mark Sweatt and Bruce Sweatt; two grandsons, Christian Michael Sweatt and Gage D. Sweatt; and two special friends, Frank Lugo and Jamie Williams. He was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Sweatt. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
