Dolly Beavers LILBOURN — Dolly E. Beavers, 88, died Oct. 7, 2012, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born May 14, 1924, in Stamford, Ark., daughter of the late John O. and Hannah Dean Becknell, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Lilbourn. She was also a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 7183 in Lilbourn, past president of Lilbourn CIC Club, past matron of Lilbourn Chapter 486 Order of the Easter Star that consolidated with New Madrid Chapter 293 O.E.S. and was presented with a 50-year pin in 2000. On Sept. 27, 1941, in Lilbourn, she married Edward C. Beavers, who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2002. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Tommy Thompson of New Madrid and Jean and Erwin Lloyd of Lilbourn; three grandchildren, Michelle Thompson Brazel (Randy) of Charleston and David Lloyd and Derek Lloyd of Cape Girardeau; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation is from noon until service time at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Lilbourn. Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery. Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
