Donald Lee Woods, 75 of New Madrid and formerly of Farmington passed away May 13, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.
He was born July 22, 1938 in Farmington, MO, to the late Effie Hoehn and Luther Woods. He was a Mason and a member of the Eagles Aerie #4206 in New Madrid. He worked at Pilot Knob Mines in Pilot Knob, Missouri when he was younger, and then moved to New Madrid and went to work for Noranda Aluminum for 20 years, retiring in 2005. On December 10, 1988, he was united in marriage to Diane Mansfield Woods, who survives of the home.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by; three sisters, Louise Pritchett, Lucille Wright and Laverne Morris.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by; five children, Angie (Ed) Politte and Cynthia (Brian) Pogue, all of Farmington, Jeanine (Steve) Arcipowski of St. Louis, Jeff (Eva) Mansfield of Batavia, OH., and Mara (Clynt) Scheffler of Forest City, North Carolina, one brother, Richard (Sandy) Woods of St. Charles, MO., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation Friday May 16, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Richards Funeral Home, Inc., New Madrid Location.
Visitation Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington, MO.
