Gary Lovins, 61, died Nov. 29, 2013, at his home in Portageville. He was born July 28, 1952, in St. Louis to the late Roy Lee and Alma Dowdy Lovins. His wife, Barbara "Nikki" Lovins, preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 2013. Also preceding him death were four brothers, Roy Lovins, Freddie Lovins, Robert Lovins and Stephen Lovins. Survivors include: two sons, Gary Wayne Lovins of Knoxville, Tenn., and Michael Lovins of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Jessica Lovins of Caruthersville; one sister, Betty Manning of Gideon; one brother, Danny Lovins of Marston; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
