Harold Lawson, 77, died Aug. 10, 2014, in Lilbourn. Born Aug. 8, 1937, in Portageville, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Birtie Owen Lawson Cowan. He was married to Lillian Moore Jackson, who preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 2004. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: one stepson, Marty (Rita) Jackson of New Madrid; two stepdaughters, Carol (John D.) Henry and Joanna Carter of New Madrid; one brother, Lonnie Lawson of the state of Colorado; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Burial followed in Mounds Park Cemetery.
