James Edward "Eddie" Gill, 56, died Jan. 14, 2015, at his home in New Madrid. Born Dec. 8, 1958, in Idaho, he was the son of the late Delbert and Lilly McCain Gill. On Dec. 7, 2010, he married Martha Ann Fields, and she survives of the home. Other survivors include: three children, Nikki (David) Hinklin and Tabby Fields of Marston and Sara Gill of South Carolina; two brothers, Bobby Gill of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., and Donnie Gill of Tally; three sisters, Connie Hamilton of Evans, Ga., Patty Black of Lilbourn and Barbara Brant of Tally; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Farny. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Brant, Justin Brant, Brad Gill, Nick Gill, James Fields and Jordan Gill. Honorary pallbearers will be: Don Fields, Justin Fields, Eddie Clark and David Hinklin.
