Joyce Ann Julian loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully April 24, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Born December 31, 1941 in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late Nellie and Lloyd Sweat. She was united in marriage on January 30, 1965 to the late Donald Julian. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage before his death in 2017. They raised 2 sons out of this marriage Mark Julian (Jennie) of New Madrid, MO. And Tommy and Tracy Julian of Perryville, MO.

From these two sons they have 5 grandchildren. Michael and Laura Irvan of New Madrid, MO.  Misty and Jared Snell of Cape Girardeau, MO. Casey Julian (Taylor) of Poplar Bluff, MO. Nikki and Justin Recuero of Carbondale, IL. Matthew and Emily Julian of Springfield, MO.  From their grandchildren they have eight great-grandchildren with one on the way. Jacob Irvan and Sophie Irvan of Jackson, MO. Lucas Higgerson of New Madrid, MO. Joshua Phillips and Aiden Snell of Cape Girardeau, MO. Nico Recuero of Carbondale, IL  Silas and Lydia Julian of Springfield, MO  And extended family Richard Faries and family and Bradley and Nathaniel Kolwyck and families. She was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church in Wyatt, MO. Joyce was church soloist and pianist for many years with the last being at the Wyatt Baptist Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing piano, camping and being with her church family.

Visitation will be Thursday April 30, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, MO with funeral at 1pm.

Pallbearers will be Michael Irvan, Casey Julian, Bradley Kolwyck, Nathaniel Kolwyck, Matthew Julian and Justin Recuero Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Irvan, Joshua Phillips, Aiden Snell, Richard Faries, Jared Snell, and Silas Julian
