Judy Richard NEW MADRID - Judy Wescoat Richard passed away March 22, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 70 years. She was born Dec. 28, 1944, in New Madrid County to the late Siebert O'Bannon Wescoat and Alice Lewis Wescoat. On Nov. 26, 1968, at the New Madrid Methodist Church, she was married to Chester Richard, who preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2009. Survivors include: three sisters, Betty Clark, Ruth Phillips and Joan Smith of New Madrid; two brothers, James Curtis Wescoat of St. Louis and John Wescoat of New Madrid; three special nieces, Judy Gail Mitchell, Bobbi Rae Smith and Jessie Rae Snipes; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lady Lawfield and Shirley Hector; and one brother, Virgil Wescoat. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston. Pallbearers will be Andrew Cooper, Broughton Fisher, Lofton Hayes, John Paul Wescoat, Lee Wescoat and Russ Wescoat. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bill Wescoat, Aaron Mitchell, Paul Wayne Wescoat, Doyle Richard and Bill Owens.
