Karen Sue Kolwyck, 65, died May 21, 2014, at her home in Lilbourn. Born March 8, 1949, in Charleston, to the late Yeura and Sally Forrester Elrod, she was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Lilbourn. In 1966 in New Madrid, she married Richard Kolwyck Sr., and he survives of the home. Other survivors include: three sons, Richard and Suzanne-Kempfer Kolwyck and Robert Allen and Tonya Kolwyck of Sikeston and Michael David and Tina Kolwyck of Oran; one sister, Alice Tharp of Sikeston; one brother, Charles Elrod of Oklahoma City; two grandsons whom she raised, Nicholas Kolwyck and Brandon Kolwyck; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in Lilbourn. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
