Kristi Marie Walker, 41, died Jan. 11, 2014, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Born Sept. 10, 1972, in Hayti, to the late R.L. and Mary Frances Dunn Leonard, she was a registered nurse and worked as a school nurse for the New Madrid County Central R-I School District. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two infant brothers. On Sept. 3, 2003, in Lilbourn, she married Dwight "D" Walker who survives of the home. Other survivors include: one son, Bobby Walker, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dodie and Todd Townsend of Lilbourn and Brenda Condict of Sikeston; and three brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike Leonard of Lilbourn, Dennis and Tracy Leonard of Portageville and Danny Leonard of New Madrid. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Travis Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
