Laura Adele Riley, 67, died February 10, 2014, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Born January 21, 1947, she was the second daughter of William Vest and Nancy Scott Riley. She attended Immaculate Conception grade school, New Madrid High School, and Murray State University where she majored in music. She was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Church, where for over half of her life she devotedly played the organ for her parish.
She is survived by her seven children: Mary Angela and Keith Haase, Michael Joseph and Angela Allgier, John Riley and Leslie Allgier, Scott Allen Allgier, Celia Katherine and Jim McMillen, Laura Courtney and Jeremy Ruch, and Camden Nicolas Allgier. She has ten grandchildren: Julia, Audra and Elizabeth McMillen, Laurann and Layne Allgier, Rose Marie Allgier, William and Drews Brister, Lexi and Joseph Ruch. She is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Ellen Cravens and Lydia Baker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two children, William Riley Allgier and Nancy Ann Allgier and a sister, Celia Ann DeLisle.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at Richards Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Jarek Skrzypek officiating. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Cravens, Vest Baker, Edward LaValle, Matt LaValle, Gabe Long, and Gerard Long.
