Martha Reed-Lewis POINT PLEASANT — Martha L. Reed-Lewis, passed away April 24, 2013, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston at the age of 87 years. She was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Marston, to the late Sally and Juvonia Reed Sr. She was a member of the Lily of the Valley Baptist Church in Point Pleasant for 71 years, where she served on the Usher Board for 61 years and Mothers Board for 14 years. On Feb. 26, 1946, in Portageville, she married Eugene Lewis Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1990. She was also preceded in death by one son, Griffen Earl, one daughter, Lois Jean, and four sisters and one brother. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Barbara Lewis Jr. of Cleveland; two daughters and a son-in-law, Helen and Jimmy Brown of Toledo, Ohio, and Diane Lewis of Aurora, Colo.; four sisters, Mable Kerr, Lucille Evans, Eliza Reed-Banks and Ethal Reed; one brother, Juvonia Reed Jr.; three grandchildren, Ure, Kimberly and Danielle; and four great-grandchildren.
