Mary Rooker LONG BEACH, Calif. — Mary Elizabeth Rooker passed away Oct. 19, 2012, in Long  Beach. Mary Beth, a 27-year-old student at the local university, studying geology on her way to a career as a science teacher, touched many lives and enlightened us all with her sweet and caring nature. She will be missed most by the ones she helped and loved. She was born March 4, 1985, to Robert Daniel Rooker of New Madrid, Mo., and Debra Jarnagin Rooker of Marston, Mo. Mary leaves behind: her daughter, Ruby Ann of Mira Loma; her brother, Ben Rooker of New Madrid; maternal grandmother, Melvine Jarnagin; paternal grandmother, Ruby Rooker; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. A memorial service for friends and loved ones will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Burial will follow services in Mounds Park Cemetery in Lilbourn, Mo.
