Norma Faye Leonard, 67, died Nov. 5, 2013, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter. Born Feb. 20, 1946, in New Madrid, to the late Betty Jo Knight and Welton Carroll, she was a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge and had been a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Madrid. In April 1967, she married David Pomeroy, who preceded her death in February 1968 in Vietnam. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Shelly Leonard of Sikeston; one daughter, Karin Leonard of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Calvin Horton of Florida; and one grandson, Rylan Lackmore on Knoxville. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Steve Easterwood will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
