Patricia "Trish" Henry Williams died Aug. 20, 2013, in New Madrid surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.
Patricia was born Nov. 18, 1941, in the Higgerson community to the late Whitson Edward Henry Sr. and Mildred Joiner Henry.
On Sept. 25, 1964, in New Madrid, she married Edwin Williams and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Garry Williams and Larry and Heidi Williams of New Madrid; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Richard Martinez of New Madrid; and nine grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Landon Martinez, Joseph Williams, Emma Martinez, Samuel Williams, Ashley Long, Jake Nesselrodt, Laine Smith and Micah Nesselrodt.
She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Martha Henry Hunter, Whitson E. "Bud" Henry Jr., Mary Lois Henry and Bill Henry of New Madrid and Faye Halferty of Cabot, Ark.
Patricia attended Higgerson School through the eighth grade and graduated from New Madrid High School. She loved to draw and crochet and enjoyed giving gifts of her handiwork to those she loved. She was an ardent fan of gospel music and loved listening to her favorite station, WBEC in Wickliffe, Ky. She was a great cook and her family especially enjoyed her fried chicken. She loved her family above all else.
Visitation is scheduled beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the New Madrid Baptist Church with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. G.L. Keene, pastor, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be her nephews: Michael Hunter, Chad Henry, Whit Henry, Allen Williams, Jerry Sermon and Randy Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons: Landon Martinez, Jake Nesselrodt, Samuel Williams, Joseph Williams, Trey Moore and Gavin Long.
