Charlie Hammons Pauline Hammons MARSTON — Charlie Hammons, 93, and Pauline Oliver Hammons, 87, died July 2, 2011, near Morehouse. Mr. Hammons was born March 26, 1918, in Ozone, Ark., to the late Gus and Rose Hammons. Mrs. Hammons was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Imo, Ark., to the late Henry J. and Mary Melinda Latham. The couple was married on Nov. 9, 1940, and were members of the Pentecostal Church in Marston. Mrs. Hammons is survived by: three sisters, Gladys Henningsen of Sumner, Wash., Edith Bohannon of Sacramento and Flora Long of Marysville, Calif.; and one brother, J.C. Oliver of Marysville;. She was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Frank Townsend will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley.
