Perry Valentine NEW MADRID — Perry O. Valentine passed away Sept. 28, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 45 years. He was born Feb. 20, 1968, in Sikeston, to the late Johnny Young and Gloria Dean Lewis. Survivors include: two sons, Perry O. Ellis and Dominic Ellis of Sikeston; grandmother, Mabel Valentine of Sikeston; two sisters, Mary "Tiny" Lewis of New Madrid and Gloria J. Lewis of Sikeston; one brother, Willie Lewis of Milwaukee; a fiancee, Diana R. Bell of New Madrid; and three grandchildren, Makenzie O. Ellis, Perry O. Ellis Jr. and Aryis D. Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, John L. Lewis. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon Saturday at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid with Carl Nichols, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid. The Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
