Rick Hare passed away Aug. 10, 2013, in New Madrid County at the age of 61 years. He was born Oct. 28, 1951, in Wapun, Wis., to Elwyn Hare, who survives of Fond du Lac, Wis., and the late Elverda Kopke Hare. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and was a member of the New Madrid Eagles Club. In his earlier years, he enjoyed sports and hunting. In recent years, he enjoyed walking and talking with friends. He never met a stranger. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Survivors include: his fiancee, Vanessa Landers of New Madrid; one daughter, Megan Hare of Fond du Lac; and many friends and relatives. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home in Fond du Lac, Wis., with visitation from 2 p.m. until time of services at 3:30 p.m.
