SIKESTON — Rickey Mixon, 50, died Jan. 21, 2014, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born Feb. 11, 1963, in Clarksville, Miss., to Mary Johnson Mixon of Sikeston and the late John Andrew Mixon, he was a truck driver and a welder at Construction Trailer Specialist Inc. Survivors include: his companion, Linda Upchurch; five sons, Michael Dority, John Dority, Rickey Mixon Jr., Anthony Mixon and Michael Jones; three daughters, Nakatia Clay, Jamme Braxton and Kelly Braxton; three brothers, Joe Mixon and James Mixon of Clarksville, Tenn., and John Mark Jones of Caruthersville; four sisters, Dorothy Mixon of Youngstown, Ohio, Ellis Rogers of Timmonsville, S.C., Stephanie Howard of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Apaula Jones of Sikeston; and several grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, John A. Mixon Jr. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
