Ronald Ervin, 77, died July 4, 2016, at his home near Bertrand. He was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Perkins, son of the late William "Barney" and Jewell Miller Ervin. On Sept. 22, 1986, he married Barbara Mauk, and she survives of the home. Other survivors include: one son, William "Barney" Ervin; one daughter, Rhonda Hardin; four stepchildren, L.V., Sheila, Joella and Crickett; two sisters, Carol Hamilton and Pat Riley; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: one son, David Ervin; one daughter, Sondra Ervin; two brothers, Ralph Ervin and Hubert Ervin; one sister, Melba Redd; and two grandsons, Thomas Ervin and Charlie Aycock Jr. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with Allen Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery.
