Roxie Bailey LILBOURN — Roxie Mae Bailey, 83, died July 17, 2011, at her home. Born Aug. 18, 1927, in Steele, she was the daughter of the late James "Willie" and Mattie Mae McCarthy Hailey. On Aug. 15, 1944, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Mahlon Lee Bailey who survives of the home. Other survivors include: three daughters, Gail Sanders of Arlington, Texas, and Judy Delrosa and Debra Ash of Scott City; three sons, Leroy Bailey of Portageville, Dennis Bailey of New Madrid and David Bailey of Good Springs, Tenn.; two brothers, Jimmy Hailey of Poplar Bluff and Billy Joe Hailey of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two sisters, Alice Edwards of Caruthersville and Ruth Muse of Poplar Bluff; and 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Frank Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery.
