New Madrid-Sidney Johnson, 89, died Oct. 1, 2014, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born Jan. 21, 1925, in Greenville, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Louise Johnson. She was married to Harl Johnson, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include:  two sons and a daughter-in-law, Nathaniel Johnson of New Madrid and Lewis and Teresa Johnson of St. Louis; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.  The Rev. Lawrence Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
