Thelma E. White, 87, died Jan. 26, 2014, in New Madrid. Born Feb. 9, 1927, in Caruthersville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Susie Maude Duncan Evans. She married William Robert White II who preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2005. She was also preceded in death by five sisters. Survivors include: three sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe White of Bertrand, Robert and Linda White of Malden and Charles White of Lilbourn; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Eric Mattson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
