Thomas "Tommy" Brown, 101, died April 10, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid. Born Jan. 30, 1913, in Moncola, Miss., to the late Dudley and Gertrude Brown, he was the oldest of seven children. He later came to Missouri to live in Parma. His wife, Mattie, preceded him in death in March 2010. Four sons, Robert, Herbert, Howard and Tommy Jr., also preceded him in death. Survivors include; three grandchildren, Maxine Evans of Flint, Mich., Howard Brown of Poplar Bluff and Darlene Taylor of Lilbourn. On Jan. 30, 2013, a 100th birthday celebration was held for him at the Golden Living Center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron. Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
